About Pocket Help

Pocket Help was founded on a simple belief: technology should help people make better decisions, not simply deliver more information.

Over the last two decades, professionals have gained access to powerful tools for communication, scheduling, collaboration, and information management. Yet many people still struggle with competing priorities, information overload, and the challenge of determining what deserves attention at any given moment.

Pocket Help is exploring how intelligent assistants can help people navigate the complexity of modern work and life by providing timely awareness, guidance, and support when it matters most.

Our mission is to create technology that helps people stay informed, focused, and prepared without demanding more of their time and attention.

Hāloa Flow is the company's first product and serves as the foundation for exploring this broader vision.

About Kirk Shorte

Kirk Shorte is the founder of Pocket Help and creator of Hāloa Flow.

With a career spanning Apple, Sun Microsystems, US West, and VA Linux Systems, Kirk has spent decades working at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and marketing. Throughout that time, he observed a recurring challenge: even highly capable professionals often struggle to manage competing priorities, information overload, and constant interruptions.

Those observations ultimately led to the creation of Pocket Help and Hāloa Flow, an effort to build technology that helps people stay informed, prepared, and focused on what matters most.
